Summary

Chapter 7

In the van the twins are speaking about the ghost like it was a simple matter. Kennedy shivers, freezing, catching the attention of Lukas who offers his jacket. Kennedy distracts herself by asking about the ghost and its similarities to that in the movies. It’s in the conversation that Kennedy learns Lukas and Jared’s family have been fighting demons and ghosts for generations, though she doesn’t seem to believe them. It’s then that they hand her their journals, the ones from their generations of family detailing their release of Andras and how it’s implied that he killed Anarel, an angel that was supposed to help control him. The chapter ends with the boys explaining that two people from their family have always been chosen to fight to fix the mistake. Angrily, Kennedy blames them for her mother...
