Summary

In Chapter 15, Maju tries to walk into town with Cora, but Cora’s feet are hurting because of her shoes. Maju tries to carry her, but she is too heavy. They stop at an abandoned carwash. Maju finds a lot of fake jewelry and decides to keep it. They see an emaciated dog which scares them. Maju sees a place called the Big Corn Love Motel, intended as a place for people to have sex, and decides to stop there to ask for help. She asks the receptionist for help catching a bus, and the receptionist suggests booking a room for the night and catching a bus the next day. Maju books a room.
