Summary

Percy decides that the group needs to get rid of the van that they were previously travelling in since the General could easily identify it. As the group is deciding what to do, they notice a helicopter is flying towards them, identical to the one from the start of the book. The group flees into a subway, which Bianca notes hadn’t been there the last time she was in Washington. They travel the rails and eventually run into a drifter, who guides them towards a train filled with expensive cars.

After pointing out that they would have to fight Luke, Thalia tells Percy to get out. He runs into the drifter again, who reveals himself to be Apollo. The gods have strict rules about helping mortals, but Apollo was willing to risk it because he wants them to find his sister. He says...
