Summary

Percy goes to talk to Chiron and the camp director, Mr. D. He tells them everything that happened, nearly getting into a fight when he sees how callous Mr. D is being when it comes to Annabeth being gone. When he tells them about the hunters, Chiron instructs him to tell the other campers that they will have an honorary game of capture the flag, as is tradition when the hunters are there. The camp is mostly empty since it is winter, so only a few full year students are around. Thalia runs into Percy and tells him that she tried to find her mortal mother after being gone for years, but she had passed away in a car accident. Percy figures that’s why she had such a tough time driving Apollo’s vehicle.
