Summary

Chapter 41: “Gone Gone Gone” takes place over the last two weeks of August. Cyril learns he was formally reported for improper, professional conduct and no other agencies will hire him. He emails Tabitha about Arlo’s situation, and she explains that there may be a legal way to get Arlo his independence, but unable to reach Arlo, Cyril deletes her email too. Then, after ignoring Hanne’s attempts to talk about Arlo, Cyril is surprised by a call from Molly who says that Arlo has disappeared.

A hesitant Cyril takes Hanne to meet Molly in Chapter 42: “Conspirators” and is surprised to find Lavinia waiting. She explains that she had planned to take Arlo to Shri to fix her mistakes, though Cyril does not believe her.
