Summary

In “Chapter 63,” Elin looks at the content of the flash-drives and finds a series of redacted patient files from a psychiatric clinic in Germany dating back to the 1920s. Elin realizes that there are patient numbers that match the small numbers written on the bracelets the killer has been leaving in the glass boxes. Elin calls the clinic and asks for information. The receptionist says she cannot say much, but agrees to check that the number does belong to a real patient file.

In “Chapter 64,” the receptionist says that the file is missing and hangs up in a rush. Elin realizes that she has been looking at current relationships and issues when she should be looking at the hotel’s history as a sanatorium.
