Cabeswater

Cabeswater is a magical forest that appeared over a regular forest in a previous novel. The trees talk to the group in a language that is described as not quite English but not quite Latin. Ronan’s mother Aurora lives in Cabeswater and is unable to move too far from it. Throughout the story, Cabeswater becomes more and more corrupted by the demon leading to black goo and shadows destroying it. However, it is revealed that Ronan actually dreamed up Cabeswater and is affected by the darkness that encroaches on it. At the end of the novel, Cabeswater sacrifices itself to bring back Gansey and disappears.
