Summary

In Chapter 17, Alice and Iris call their "Zoner" friends, Spike, Zora, and Neil and ask them to skip class to help them with the case at Alice’s house.

In Chapter 18, the teens brainstorm who was at the castle that might want to hurt Rebecca. They come up with a list of suspects, including Reed Gerber, who was Rebecca’s date to the dance. Zora suggests they look through her girlfriend’s photographs that she—Angelik—was taking for yearbook that night.

In Chapter 19, the teens meet Angelik in the yearbook room before school the next day. They look at the photos taken between a quarter after nine and a quarter before ten. They eliminate 20 students from their suspect list, but there are about 110 students in their class. However, they do not see Reed Gerber in any of the photographs.
