Summary

In Chapter 12, Lynette lunged for the contents of the safe. She suspected Kansas would want it. Kansas and the blond boy yelled. Lynette reminded them of their deal. Kansas said Cody should get the drugs, and he would take the rest. The blond man counted the cash, discovering $17,000. Kansas demanded to know whose safe it was. When Lynette refused to tell him, Kansas threatened to kill her. He held her to the ground and described how he would do it. Cody watched silently. Meanwhile, the blond man was spraying chemicals into the dust mask he was wearing. At the last minute, Lynette promised Kansas the Mercedes if he let her go. Kansas agreed.
