Summary

In Chapter 22, as heat lightning flashes, Emma believes she sees Vivian looking in the window at her. Emma grabs her bracelet and tells herself that what she is seeing is not real, that it has no power over her. The bracelet breaks because Emma is tugging at it so hard. The next lightning flash shows the window is empty. Even though Emma knows she should feel relieved, she is afraid that Vivian will come again. She tries to assure herself that she is not going crazy.
