The Scholomance

The Scholomance is the only magical school in the world. It was designed to protect students from monsters, since teens are the most appealing targets for monsters. However, over the centuries, the school became almost as dangerous as the outside world. El and her friends make a plan during her senior year to turn the Scholomance into a trap to capture all the world's monsters. They succeed, and escape, but Orion decides to stay inside alone. He eats all the monsters inside and becomes monstrous himself. El goes to the gates in Portugal and travels through them to retrieve Orion. Later, a war breaks out near the gates, but El ends it by killing the monster inside Orion.
