Naomi Cottle

Naomi is a young woman who is a private investigator specializing in finding missing children. The fact that she has worked so many of these cases prompts people to know her as the child finder. Naomi was a kidnapping victim herself, which is apparently at the root of her determination to find other missing children. Naomi is a determined character who patiently follows leads and works all angles of any case. She is self-sufficient and works alone, often spending weeks on the road while working a case. She has spent time and money learning to fight, but she does not carry a gun.

Naomi was kidnapped when she was young, and she learns details about that event in the next novel of the series. Throughout this novel, she makes a few discoveries, including the important fact that she left her sister behind when she escaped. That will...
