Summary

In Chapter 8, after working three years as an associate in a law firm, Jesse opened his own office. One morning, Jesse was confronted by a couple who had been tricked into gambling away all their vacation money. They had only gone into the business for breakfast, but the man had been lured into gambling. There was nothing Jesse could do to help the couple. Jesse did not mind when the clubs catered to willing customers, but resented when they preyed on innocent people.
