Summary

In Chapter 35, Jesse used the composite sketch of Hugh as leverage against Lance when Jesse met with Burch about a plea deal. Jesse promised Burch he would not tell the FBI he recognized Hugh if Lance would agree to a deal. If he did not agree, Jesse would not only go to the FBI with Hugh’s name, but he would also take Jesse to trial where Jesse would be found guilty.

Lance pleaded guilty in front of a courtroom full of spectators. Keith made eye contact with Hugh during the hearing and received a look that could have killed him.

In Chapter 36, Stofer was arrested in St. Louis for drunk driving and was extradited back to Harrison County. Jesse agreed to knock 15 years off Stofer’s sentence for helping him get the indictments against Lance.
