Point of View

The story is recounted from the first 0erson point of view of Julia, a 10-year-old girl who is struggling with the first stages of adolescence as the Earth becomes affected by some strange phenomena that causes it's rotation to slow. This point of view is very important to the story as it is a coming of age story. The action of the novel is focused on Julia's feelings and emotions as Julia not only faces the changes that come with growing older but also the changes that coming to her world as people panic in the light of changes in world as they know it.
