Chapters 4 and 5 Summary

When Julia's father returns from work in Chapter 4, Julia tells him that she's sorry about what happened. He lies and tells her that nothing happened. She later hears her parents talking, then arguing through their bedroom door as her mother apparently asks her father if he was really at work. Her father snaps back that he was at work. Also during this time, the humans are dealing with the effects of the stronger pull of gravity. Anything that falls, falls faster. Julia also believes that this slowing affected relationships, as well as the course of her own life.
