Summary
It has been five months since Cricket learned of Mia’s condition, and she has not spoken to Mia since. She finally feels secure in her place on the soccer team. Cricket gives many interviews. When she is alone in her room at night, however, she feels lonely. Her mother has not met her on the field. Mia looks happy in front of cameras, but she is lonely having never called the donor coordinator.
Mia spends much time at the kidney care center getting dialysis in “The Chair.” She wants to watch the machine burn.
