Summary
In “Nighttime Routines,” Liz gets a job as a server at Primo Bistro, and nightly, Mia wakes up when her mom comes home to talk with her. Mia thinks about how her mother gave up soccer for her thinking “The worst thing Mia ever did in her life was exist, and she’s been trying to make up for it ever since” (70).
