Chapters 28 through 31 Summary

In Chapter 28, Adianna arrives at the house. She immediately sees dried blood and knows that Sarah has probably been injured. She then sees Sarah and notes a serious wound though it is quickly healing. This makes Adianna fear because she knows that not even a witch can heal that quickly. Adianna realizes what's happened, that Sarah has fed on vampire blood. Sarah is feverish when Adianna touches her. Sarah is a white witch and Adianna knows the vampire blood and the witch blood will battle inside Sarah's body, probably destroying her body in the process. Adianna knows there is one hope - a process by which she will use her own powers to sever the vampire blood. The cost of this is high and means their descendants will be born with vampire blood. Adianna is willing to pay that price anyway...
