Summary
This section starts the same as all the others, with Asle looking at the purple and brown lines on his painting of Saint Andrew's cross. He is in Bjørgvin, to drop off some paintings at Beyer's gallery, and to visit the other Asle, who is still in the hospital. Asle is still refused access to the other Asle, because he is not a blood relative.
Sitting in the parking lot of the Beyer Gallery, Asle remembers the day his sister died. She died suddenly in her sleep, and the doctors could not identify a reason why she passed. The loss of Alida is extremely difficult for Asle, who misses her greatly and struggles with the loss of her presence.
After Alida dies, Asle stops painting for a while. He does not feel the same pull or passion he usually feels. He also refuses...
