Summary

It is Thanksgiving, and the Paquettes and the Cruzes have a meal. Connie believes that the three girls keep Grandma company. Aunt Jeanne believes Grandma should either move in with one of her kids or go into a nursing home. She does not believe she should be driving anymore because she has had some accidents. Tyler believes this would kill his grandmother. Uncle Larry tells Tyler’s dad that the police are coming down harder on Mexicans, but Tyler no longer wants them to have to leave. Mom says that the Mexican family has shown her how much they have.

Aunt Jeannie and her siblings talk, and one of Jeannie’s concerns is the Day of the Dead altar which she calls a voodoo altar. Tyler does not know what will happen to the Cruzes, but he thinks they need a plan...
