Summary

The next chapter is titled “Two.” Monday, Mab, and Mirabel discuss the situation. Monday remains confused throughout most of it as Mab and Mirabel agree they have to stop Belsum, but they cannot come up with a plan to do so. They discuss the fact that River might help them gather information. They know that the lawsuit against Belsum has never progressed because there is a crucial piece of evidence missing – a smoking gun. They know the conversation River overheard means that piece of evidence exists, but have no idea what it is. Monday says it will be difficult to find and Mirabel agrees, but says it is possible.
