Chapters 20 and 21: Steven Summary

Louisa follows Patrick as he runs, she cycles and times him. When she announces she isn't joining him for Xtreme Viking, he almost stops, but it is another mile before he asks why they can't get another agency person in to allow her the holiday. When she tells him it is because Will needs a trip he tells her that lately Will takes priority over everything, his implications clear. When she finally tells him the real reason, he relents and tells her he needs to run alone for now. She watches him disappear down the road.
