Chapters 4 and 5 Summary

Louisa manages to get through the first two weeks, enduring a barrage of unkind and sharp comments from Will regarding everything she did, or didn't do. One morning Mrs. Traynor arrived with guests for Will. She offers them coffee, noticing that Mrs. Traynor seems more tense than usual. The reason is clear when Alicia and Rupert announce their intention to marry, apologizing to Will. Later, she joins Patrick and the Triathlon Terrors' at the Kings Head where she describes her day. He and his friends sympathize. Then Patrick announces his intention to attempt the Xtreme Viking Triathlon. The next day is a difficult one for Will. While he is resting, she begins to sort out the broken frames to see which ones could be fixed, earning her his ire once more. His barrage finally offends her to a point where she...
