Chapter 17 Summary

On the afternoon Louisa tells Will she is moving in with Patrick, a man comes to the door. Introducing himself as Michael Lawler, he announces he has an appointment with Will, and spends an hour in the living room with him. Louisa's curiosity is overwhelming, and she manages to discover his name and the location of his office before he leaves. She moves into Patrick's that night, and he shows her where she can put her things. He questions her when he sees the calendar, especially regarding the August 12th date with exclamation marks and underlined. Nathan asks if she and Will have had a fight.
