Part Five, No Rules, No Regrets, Chapters 77-86 Summary

Cross travels with the President to New York, where he is scheduled to give a speech at Madison Square Garden. The flight into the city is uneventful. At the airport in New York, the President and his entourage are joined by more than three hundred New York City police officers. The security surrounding the President is larger and more intense than it ever has been before, for fear that Jack and Jill will make an attempt during this visit. From the airport the motorcade to the Waldorf-Astoria goes off without a hitch. Unknown to Cross or the hundreds of other law enforcement officers involved, Kevin Hawkins watches the President with the rest of the spectators outside the hotel.
