Part Two, The Dragonslayer, Chapters 23-26 Summary

Jack and Jill release a video tape of Senator Daniel Fitzpatrick's murder to CNN. Cross is among the first to view the tape. The tape shows a graphic rendition of the murder, including the moment of death, causing all who view it to feel disgust, including Cross. It is clearly an attempt on Jack and Jill's part to flaunt their crime in the faces of the police and to show the world how powerful they are. Jack and Jill speak on the tape in electronically altered voices, warning the police that they intend to continue killing people they believe are harming the American way of life with their corrupt morals.
