Part One, It's Tomorrow Again, Chapters 15-22 Summary

Cross wakes to his daughter's stare. However, the day quickly takes a turn for the worse when his daughter tells him Chief Pittman and Commissioner Clouser are downstairs. Pittman believes the death of the suspect closes the Truth School case; therefore, Cross is available to work the Senator Fitzgerald murder. Cross does not agree, but the Police Commissioner puts him in a position where he cannot argue. Cross takes a day before he begins to focus on the Jack and Jill case.
