Summary

At the start of Chapter 21, following the sudden and explosive fight between Hannah and Ben’s Mom and Dad, Nathan tries to soothe Ben at his house, creating a space to let them cry openly. The next days of Ben’s life blur together, as they don’t feel emotionally well enough to leave their bed to go to school. They have also been neglecting taking their medication. Some back and forth texting with Mariam make them feel better, as well as sweet lighthearted messages from Nathan. After a week, Thomas lets Ben know that Hannah has made a non-negotiable appointment with Dr. Taylor.
