Summary

Before going back to school after Spring break, Ben debriefs their crush on Nathan with Mariam, who is excited for Ben’s new feelings. Having returned from his vacation, Nathan invites Ben to a surprise event in town that weekend, which ends up being a public outdoor showing of Star Wars in the park. They arrive early to get good seats, and take turns asking each other questions, ranging from what their favorite breakfast is to whether they have any secrets “that shouldn’t be a big deal… that you should be able to tell people, but you just can’t? Like, it isn’t even a bad thing, but it feels like people will think it is” (200).
