Helen's Book Series
Helen’s book series symbolizes the degree to which she allows her parents to control her life. Despite the fact that she is a grown adult, she is still concerned about her writing affecting her parents. She does not want to make them uncomfortable by writing difficult scenes, so she sticks to more innocent content. By the end of the novel, however, she has decided to abandon this approach, and this demonstrates how she has grown out of needing to comfort the way for them.
