Summary

In Chapter 22 only Helen and Grant are in the office for the day. Grant has a panic attack, and Helen helps counting with him to calm him down. He allows her to comfort him. He tells her that the car accident and a dead body caused the panic attack. She kisses his hand like she did in the woods. He admits that Michelle’s death contributed to the development of these panic attacks. She assures him that he could not have done anything, and he admits that he was most worried about himself and the prospect of jail. He tells her that she should not be the one to comfort him.
