Summary

In Chapter 55, Ithan's throat is ripped out as Bryce convinces Hypaxia to funnel magic into Bryce. She teleports Ithan to safety and Hypaxia stabs the demon. Isaiah and Hunt arrive and recognize the creature as a deathstalker. Hypaxia starts healing Ithan while Bryce calls Ruhn to help.

At the witches’ embassy, Hunt is suspicious that neither Bryce or Hypaxia were hurt. Flynn angrily reveals that Ariadne left Ithan and Ruhn thinks the coven hoped to kill Hypaxia. Hunt thinks Apollion is involved. Ruhn then reveals that Bryce is officially a princess and Hunt her prince.

In Chapter 56, Ithan wakes up and Hypaxia explains what happened. She does not blame Ariadne for seeking out freedom or Ithan for getting hurt. After asking if she can truly reach Connor, Ithan says he also wants to save the wolf mystic. Flynn, Tharion, and Declan...
