Summary

Chapter 36 is from Arthur’s perspective and takes place on Thursday, July 9th. Arthur is very anxious. He keeps checking his phone while at work, waiting for a message from Ben. Arthur suffers over the wait, hoping for a response from Ben. This all happens while Arthur is at work. It is right before the play’s dress rehearsal and Jacob keeps changing things and giving directions to Taj and Arthur. During work, Taj mentions to Arthur that he will be invited back the following year with better pay. After that, Arthur realizes that Ben is treating his declaration of love the way he treated Mikey’s. He sends Mikey a few more apology texts. Ben gets a reminder from his photo app that reminds him this day is the two-year anniversary since he and Ben met in the post office.
