Summary

Chapter 31 is from Ben’s perspective and takes place on Friday, July 3rd. Ben is excited to do an escape room with Mario, who makes him feel more confident. As Ben, Dylan, and Mario are waiting for Patrick, Mario implies that he loves Ben, sending Ben into thought about if he loves Mario. Patrick arrives. Mario steps away a moment to take a call from the moving company. Mario does not make it back in time, so it is just the three of them. Ben likes Patrick even though Dylan continues complaining about him. Ben is sad because he keeps imagining Arthur and Mikey living the life he always pictured living with Arthur.
