Nick Dunne: Nine Weeks After the Return Summary

Nick found the jar of vomit hidden in the back of the freezer. He says he poured the vomit down the drain. When Amy tosses the jar out, Nick feels as if something is very wrong. They continue to scour Amy's diaries to see if they can find any discrepancies in her story.

Nick's dad dies. After the funeral, Nick goes home with Amy. This is when he realizes that he has to end it with Amy so that he can find out who he is without her. He says he needs to tell his own story. The next morning, while Amy is working on her book in her study, Nick takes out his laptop and reads the first line of his own book.
