Nick Dunne: The Day of Pages 1-15 Summary

Nick says what he remembers about his wife is the shape of her head.

He then seems to go back in time. He talks about waking up at 6 am one morning and he can hear the sounds of his wife Amy making breakfast downstairs in the kitchen. He also talks about how he was a writer in New York City, but that when he lost his job, he moved them to his hometown of Carthage, Missouri. He says his twin sister, Margo, which he calls Go, moved back just prior to him and Amy moving there. Go moved back when their ailing mother was dying and because she also lost her job.
