Chapter 9, pages 177-200 Summary

Wendy wants to kill Kevin herself, to avenge her sister. Marv won't let her. He knocks her out and carries her back to the car, so she won't see what he does to Kevin. A half hour later, Wendy is still unconscious in the car, while Marv talks to the blank-faced Kevin. Marv has slowly cut off Kevin's harms and legs, which are tied off with rubber tubing, preventing him from bleeding to death. He's spilled some blood in the messy process in order to attract the wolf that Kevin's been feeding on scraps of human flesh. As the wolf approaches, Marv loosens one of the rubber tubes and the wolf comes to feed on Kevin. Kevin remains unresponsive, not screaming or responding as the wolf eats him alive.
