Chapter 5 Summary

Marv has found a place to crash, but he only tosses and turns on the bed. He can't sleep, not because of the noise or the smell, but because he's too excited. There is nothing to watch on television, and nothing to do but sit and wait for the sun to go down. He doesn't go out in the daylight because of all the people looking at him. Finally, the sun begins to go down, and Marv thinks of all the people running home and locking themselves in, trying to ignore the ugly reality of Sin City that exists outside their locked doors at night.

Marv walks out into the nighttime, passing bodies sprawled in the streets. He is stirring with excitement. Marv finds the man the two hit men told him about, and he tortures and kills him. Walking through the streets...
