Chapter 8, Healing and Dying Summary and Analysis

Ms. Eadie, now understanding the idea of positive and negative powers on the body, now began to learn how our mind and spirit can effect our bodies. Ms. Eadie learned that the spirit controls the mind, and the mind controls the body, therefore the spirit can heal the body. Ms. Eadie also learned that depression is the most negative and self-centered state a body can be in. Ms. Eadie also learned that at one time the body had had the power to replace cells that were damaged, but this power was modified in the Garden of Eden. Now bodies can no longer live forever, but must die. However, the spirit can still heal the body with positive thoughts if it is God's will.
