Summary

The final chapter is titled “2019.” Three years have passed since the previous chapter. Things have naturally progressed. Glenn is in second grade. Jane would have insisted on having her daughter in her room, despite the school policy against it, except that Mr. Robicheaux has stopped teaching. Patrice has so much trouble in preschool that the teacher needs to talk to Duncan or Jane every afternoon. Duncan has taken over picking her up.
