Chapters 31-36 Summary

Stone ventures downstairs in Chapter 31 to find out if someone is in the house with him. He notices that the switch boxes for the phone and alarm system are both open. An intruder knocks Stone Barrington out cold and steals his Rolex watch. Arrington telephones, but Stone is unable to reach the phone in time. When he comes to, Stone calls Arrington back and tells her to call 911. Police and paramedics take Stone to the hospital, where he is met by Lieutenant Bacchetti and Arrington.

In Chapter 32, Amanda Dart discovers a rather angry pimple on her face. She is terribly stressed and anxious about DIRT and having her home and office bugged.
