Chapter 13-18 Summary

In Chapter 13, Arnie Millman visits Stone. Like Stone Barrington, Arnie is a retired NYPD officer. Arnie occasionally does freelance surveillance work for Stone. A short time later, Stone meets Sara, the woman with whom he is currently involved. Sara is a judge. Much to Stone's surprise, Sara tells him that she is ending their relationship.

In Chapter 14, it is revealed that Amanda's real name is Ida Louise Erenheim. Born in Delano, Georgia to blue collar parents, Ida Louise seems to have been born extremely ambitious, sexually voracious and very interested in money. Shortly before leaving for Barnard College in New York City, Ida Louise Erenheim is gang-raped and severely beaten in the boys' locker room.
