Chapters 25-30 Summary

In Chapter 25 Stone meets with Bill Eggers and Glynnis Hickock, Dick Hickock's wife. Glynnis is contemplating divorce and she wants Stone to thoroughly investigate her husband. Stone privately tells Eggers that he cannot help Glynnis Hickock because he is already employed by Mr. Hickcock to get to the bottom of the DIRT matter.

In Chapter 26, Tiff Potts telephones Stone Barrington and says she is being followed. At the Oak Bar in the Plaza Hotel, Tiff shows Stone an advertisement for Spirit cologne in Vanity Fair magazine. Tiff tells Barrington that the man who followed her looks exactly like the model in the ad. However, Tiff is certain they are not the same person.
