Summary

In Chapter 46, Demon and his friends “continued east” to the Atlantic (387). It got dark. When they showed up at Mouse’s house, she was upset. They spent the night anyway. There was so much noise, Demon could not sleep. When Fast told everyone they were “heading home in the morning,” Demon felt his dreams going “down in flames” (391). Demon regretted leaving Dori “for no good reason” (391).

Angus called, saying Coach was putting Demon “back on season rules” (392). He had to be home for dinner. Demon knew he had to listen to Angus, but feared leaving Dori.
