Summary

Chapter 12 is from Feyre's perspective. Cassian arrives with boughs to decorate for the holiday. They are teasing each other as they drink wine and attempt to decorate. The moment Azriel arrives, he begins rearranging and says it seems they tried to make it “ugly.” Azriel is guzzling wine from the bottle when Rhysand enters. Rhysand makes it clear he knows Cassian drinks most of his liquor. Rhysand and Mor make rude comments about the decorations Feyre and Cassian put up. Amren arrives next. She almost starts an argument by mentioning Nesta, says her boyfriend Varian will be with her for the party, and leaves. Feyre talks to Elain who says she invited Nesta to dinner tonight and to their holiday party, but Nesta has not answered.
