Summary
In Chapter 15, Lenny takes Jane to a hotel in Beverly Hills for their date. On the way, Lenny asks if she has talked to Brett about when he is returning and when they will have to move out. She admits they have talked and rants about what a snob Brett is. Jane has been ignoring all his messages and calls, convinced he knows about Hampton. Lenny agrees that Brett is awful.
Jane and Lenny settle in at the hotel; they kiss and have sex. Standing at the window afterward, Jane recalls a weekend they spent “in Santa Barbara nine years ago” (174). Back then, she dreamed of the comfortable life she and Lenny would make together.
