Andrew

Andrew is a teenage boy who identifies as gay. As the novel opens, he is struggling to keep going after having stepped in a bear trap. After his injury, he spends several weeks at Jamie's cabin. However, he cannot shake the horror of having killed two people during his trip. Like almost everyone in this post-pandemic world, he has lost his entire family. He left his home after his younger sister died. Andrew loves movies and is able to give detailed descriptions of dozens of movies. This becomes a form of entertainment once he begins spending time with Jamie. Andrew is often strong and capable, but he is also sensitive and kind. He falls for Jamie but refuses to say anything because he believes Jamie would not be interested.
