Summary

The next chapter is titled “Andrew.” Andrew and Cara ride bicycles through Delray Beach, Florida. Cara points out the route to a pharmacy. They have not found anything of value for the past 30 miles, meaning there is a group nearby. Cara is sure it is not the people from Fort Caroline. Jamie's situation is getting worse. He has fever despite taking some antibiotics and has a wet-sounding cough. He is shivering and sweating as Andrew and Cara decide that it is time to move on. Andrew is terrified at the possibility that Jamie will die. Cara says they will have to travel three or four more days to reach Islamorada where they hope to find Amy.
