Summary

In Chapter 28, Chiamaka chases the girl from the car accident out of the library, trying to figure out how she survived. The girl disappears and Chiamaka calls Belle, who invites her to Waffle Palace. The next day at school, Chiamaka talks to her old friends and is embarrassed when the underclassman brings everyone lattes except her. Aces sends out pictures of Chiamaka and Belle kissing, and Jamie gets mad at her. Chiamaka meets up with Devon and he tells her about the secret society.

In Chapter 29, Devon tells his music teacher, Mr. Taylor, about the society. Mr. Taylor laughs at him and tells him that he is never going to go to Julliard because he had never cleared any of his absences like he promised to do so Devon could work on his application materials.
